Common Problems and Solutions
1. Fan Error
The kernel log will contain sentences similar to the ones below if the miner’s fan is malfunctioning or unable to run at the required speed.
Solution:
a. Make sure the fan connector is fully inserted into the socket and that the fan cable is free from damage. (Below pictures are bad socket and bad cable examples)
b. To test, replace with a decent fan. Replace the control board if it doesn’t resolve the issue.
c. Set the miner back to its default settings.
d. Return the miner to us so we can fix it.
2. EEPROM Error
If the kernel log shows,
Solution:
It typically indicates problems with the hashboard. By flashing an SD card, try to upgrade the firmware or fix the control board. Return the miner for repair if it doesn’t fix the issue.
3. Missing Chips/missing Hashboards
Kernel log examples such as missing chips and missing hashboards can be like
Solution:
a. If chips are missing, check that the miner is properly grounded and replace the PSU.
b. Verify the cables are secure and positioned correctly if the hashboard is missing.

Return the miner for repairs if the aforementioned steps fail to resolve the issue.

4. Read Temp Sensor Failed
Solution:
It typically indicates hashboard problems. Try using SD card flashing to update the firmware or fix the control board. swap out for a tested, well-known PSU. Bring the miner back for repairs if it doesn’t fix the issue.

5. Overtemp Protection
If the temperature is too high, the miner will stop working and you could find below words in the kernel log:
