The control board for the Antminer S17 series is troubleshooting in this manual. When your Antminer S17 has the following problems, you need to consider whether to change the control board.
Table of Contents
Phenomenon 1: Miners Cannot Get IP
There are generally two situations for this phenomenon:
1. The new miner is unable to get an IP address.
Prior to resetting the miner to factory settings, make sure the network’s DHCP mode is enabled, the router is functioning normally, and the network cable is in place. The control board must either be repaired or replaced if it still doesn’t function.
2. After changing the network, the miner cannot obtain the IP address.
If the miner has set a static IP, changing the IP or going back to the factory defaults can help you get a new IP.
Phenomenon 2: Unable to Enter the Miner Backstage
Reason analysis and treatment method:
1. Program error: reset
Reset Bitmain Antminer S17 Series Miners to Factory Settings
2. Browser incompatibility: please change Google or Firefox browser
3. You must update the firmware to resolve the duplicate MAC address (this issue only affects T9+ and S9i).
4. The miner changed location:
(1) Set the network of the new mine to the previous configuration;
(2) Restore all miners to factory settings;
5. Please replace or repair the control board because it is broken.
Phenomenon 3: the miner power off during the upgrading process
Repower the miner and if it is not working, please refer to the above method.
Phenomenon 4: Unable to Detect the Hash Board
If the miner can only detect two or three hash boards, please swap out the miner’s control board for a known control board of another miner. If the issue is still present, the control board needs to be replaced because the hash board is broken.
Phenomenon 5: No Hash Rate
Reason analysis and treatment method:
1. Correct the mining pool address if it has been written in an unusual or incorrect manner.
2. It is time to swap out the damaged fan.
3. If the hash board is damaged, you can either replace it or repair it.
4. Repair or replace the damaged control board.
5. Network Problems: Check the Network.
Phenomenon 6: The miner cannot detect the fan
Replace the fan if the miner can only detect one fan or if it cannot detect any fans at all. If this does not solve the problem, try a different miner’s control board and see if the fan port is damaged. If this does not solve the issue, either repair or replace the control board.
Phenomenon 7: the Miner Crashes During the Upgrade Process.
The browser might be to blame for the miner getting stuck on the upgrade page. Use of Firefox or Google Chrome is advised.
Phenomenon 8: Both the Yellow and Green Lights of the Network Port Are Off.
Cause analysis and treatment methods
1. The network cable is not plugged in properly: re-plug the network cable
2. The control board is damaged: replace the control board or repair the control board
3. The other section of the switch is not powered on: power on the switch
